Mary Lamson-Burke is a practicing visual artist and educator who lives and works in the West Michigan area. Her work reflects her interests in relationships. She uses her art to process personal thoughts and reactions to the relationship between the natural world, formal art ideas and relationships between each other. She is an accomplished art educator with over 20 years of experience teaching various ages and abilities. Lamson-Burke has exhibited throughout the West Michigan area, appearing in the Muskegon Museum of Art’s juried exhibition, Michigan Contemporary Art Exhibition several times over her career. She has been involved in several arts organizations in the roles of artist in residence, art educator, lecturer, guest artist and volunteer. Lamson-Burke holds a BFA in Ceramics from Grand Valley State University, Allendale, MI along with an MEd from Aquinas College, Grand Rapids, MI.
